The Akademos online portal aims to reduce textbook costs by allowing faculty to access and compare textbooks across 3,600 subjects and 2 million books. The Akadmos Comparison Wheel allows faculty to find their courses, view relevant textbooks by school adoptions, and save textbooks for later adoption. The tool, which is free for faculty, features peer reviews and an unbiased database of textbooks from both large and small publishers, including digital and eBooks, as well as Open educational Resource textbooks and content.
